Dr. Guang Yang is a Chinese American investor. He is a founding partner or partner in technology companies focused blockchain, AI, renewables and biotech. Previously, he was the Chairman & CEO of BrightSphere Investment Group, a New York Stock Exchange listed investment company with over $200 billion in assets under management. With 15 years at Franklin Templeton Investments, Dr. Yang was Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Global Equities, and Templeton’s Chairman of China. He later established his own private equity firm, leading multi-billion dollar cross-border M&A transactions in partnership with his conglomerate clients.

Before his finance career, Dr. Yang conducted postdoctoral research on neural network/computer vision at Harvard, publishing as the first author in prestigious scientific journals, including Science. Actively involved in non-profit organizations, he serves on the board of directors of the Atlantic Council and the Harvard Kennedy School Dean’s Council Leadership Circle. Dr. Yang holds a B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Australian National University. With his multidisciplinary expertise, Dr. Yang significantly contributes to the finance, technology, and scientific communities.
