Paul Colonna

Paul serves as President and Chief Investment Officer for Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company (LMIMCo). In this capacity, Paul oversees all investment activities and operations for the firm and manages over $80B in defined benefit and defined contribution assets.

Over his 29-year career, Paul has established himself as a recognized thought leader in investment management and in leading large investment teams. He previously served as CIO for State Street Global Advisors, overseeing fundamental equity and fixed income and was a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to SSGA acquiring GE Asset Management in 2016, Paul was President and Chief Investment Officer for Public Investments and a trustee of the GE Pension Trust and the GE Retirement Savings Plan. Paul was also the chief executive of the GEAM European and Canadian business units.

Prior to leading public investments at GEAM, Paul served as President and Chief Investment Officer for GEAM’s fixed income group, managing a global investment team and overseeing more than $50 billion in assets. He also held various other investment positions over his 16-year career with GEAM. Prior to joining GE, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp where he headed the mortgage portfolio desk and oversaw all mortgage derivative trading. Before Freddie Mac, Paul worked for First Virginia Mortgage Company.

Paul received his MBA from the University of Maryland and his BS in Business Administration from Villanova University. He is the holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
