Michelle Shi joined UBS in 2022 as head of CIO Global Investment Management Alternative Solutions APAC, where she is responsible for the bank’s alternative fund offerings for the private wealth clients in the region.

Michelle has more than two decades of experience in the financial industry, and an established buy-side track record in the Alternatives investment industry for almost 20 years. She joined UBS after a decade with State Street Global Advisors and GE Asset Management where her last role was Head of Asia Private Equity, managing the Asian private equity investments and private credit investments on behalf of a large US pension fund. In that role, she oversaw the Asia portfolio including funds, direct investments, and co-investments. Prior to that, she was a senior investment member at ADM Capital, which is one of the leading credit and special situations hedge fund in the region, where she successfully originated and led the fund’s direct investments in various regional markets including Japan and Southeast Asia.

Michelle received a B. of Acc (Banking and Finance) from NTU Singapore, and holds the CFA, CAIA and CA charters.
