Laura C. Turano is a partner in the Paul, Weiss Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Laura’s practice focuses on advising clients in connection with public and private company mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, carve-outs and other significant transactions. She also advises clients on activist defense and corporate governance matters. Laura is Chair of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) East Young Lawyers Committee and a member of the Advisory Counsel of the NYU Law Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance.

Laura’s notable representations have included advising 3G Capital, ABB, AstraZeneca, Baker Hughes, Carrier Global Corporation, CNOOC, CSX, ExxonMobil, Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division, IBM, IG Group Holdings, Intel Corporation, Merck & Co., Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance, PharMerica, PRA Health Sciences, Restaurant Brands International, Rocket Companies, SS&C, Teladoc Health, VF Corp. and Williams Partners. 

In 2021, The American Lawyer named Laura “Dealmaker of The Year” for her role advising Teladoc Health in its acquisition of Livongo Health. Laura is also recognized in The Legal 500 for her work in Corporate/M&A.

She earned a LL.M. and J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from University of Miami.
