Dr. Bonadio is the co-founder and Portfolio Manager of Alera Partners. Alera Partners is a healthcare investment platform that will manage a variety of uncorrelated public and private investment products. Alera Partners flagship fund is a low net, diversified, long/ short equity fund investing in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical technology sectors. Dr. Bonadio was most recently the co-founder of HealthNXT, a long/short equity healthcare fund focused on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical technology and life science tools sectors.

Previously, Dr. Bonadio was a Founding Partner and a Co-Portfolio Manager of the FrontPoint Healthcare Funds. Between 2003 and 2010, Dr. Bonadio co-managed a team of 9 professionals and grew the FrontPoint Healthcare Funds to $2 billion in AUM in four separate fund strategies. Dr. Bonadio was involved in all aspects of portfolio management, trading, stock selection, and investment team development.

Prior to his career at FrontPoint, Dr. Bonadio worked for 2 years as an analyst for the Healthco Funds at SAC Capital under the direction of Art Cohen and Joe Healey. Dr. Bonadio graduated summa cum laude from the University of Scranton in 1996 with a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy. He graduated from the NYU School of Medicine in 2000.
