Paul Jones is founder, Co-Chairman, Chief Investment Officer and the controlling principal of Tudor Investment Corporation which he formed in 1980. Mr. Jones is a member of the Commodity Exchange, Inc., the ICE Futures U.S. (formerly the New York Board of Trade) and the New York Fed Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. Mr. Jones served as a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association from May 2010 through December 2011, served as Chairman of the then New York Cotton Exchange from August 1992 through June 1995 and was instrumental in the creation of its Financial Instrument Exchange (FINEX). Mr. Dmitry Balyasny is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since December 2001 and serves as Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Balyasny founded the firm in December 2001 focused on delivering consistent, alpha-driven returns in all market environments through a multi-strategy, multi-PM approach. He is actively involved in daily firm investing. Previously, Mr. Balyasny was a Principal at Fountainhead Capital Investment Partners, LLC. Mr. deVeer has served as a Director of ARCC since 2015 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of ARCC. He previously served as President of ARCC from May 2013 to July 2014. Oath owns more than 50 media brands, including Yahoo, AOL, HuffPost, TechCrunch, Tumblr, as well as ad-tech and distribution platform. Oath is a Verizon-owned company formed after Verizon’s acquisition of AOL Inc. in 2015, where Armstrong was chairman and CEO and the 2017 acquisition of Yahoo. Prior to Oath and AOL, Armstrong spent almost a decade at Google, where he was president of the North and South America and a member of the global operating committee. Armstrong has over 20 years of Internet investing and operating in companies including Starwave (creators of ESPN.com, NFL.com, NBA.com), Disney Internet Ventures, Snowball (NYSE company), and America’s Health Network (acquired by News Corp).

Mr. Britton is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Capstone. Mr. Britton runs the overall strategy and direction of Capstone. Mr. Britton began his career with Saratoga Limited trading options on London’s LIFFE exchange in 1994 and co-founded the private trading partnership Mako Global Derivatives in 1999 in the U.K. In 2001, he moved to New York to set up and manage their U.S. operations. Mr. Tesei was elected Greenwich First Selectman in November 2007. A fifth-generation Greenwich resident, Peter has long had an interest in government and politics. Peter was elected the youngest member in the history of the Representative Town Meeting in November 1987 at the age of 18. He served as the District 9 (Pemberwick/Glenville) Delegation Vice Chairman and Chairman during his tenure until 1997. His service to the Town of Greenwich continued with his election to the Board of Estimate and Taxation in 1997. He served that finance board for 10 years, including six as Chairman.

CATHERINE SMITH, COMMISSIONER, CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (DECD)

Ms. Smith is the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), the lead state agency responsible for attracting and retaining businesses and jobs, revitalizing neighbourhoods and communities, and fostering appropriate development in Connecticut’s towns and cities. Commissioner Smith has spearheaded a variety of programs to generate economic activity and expand business across Connecticut. She orchestrated the creation of the Small Business Express program and the Manufacturing Innovation Fund, as well as securing funding for the Connecticut Bioscience Innovation Fund. She also coordinated the agreements that brought Jackson Laboratory to the state and re-committed UTC to Connecticut.

MICHELLE MCCLOSKEY, PRESIDENT OF AMERICAS, MAN GROUP

Ms. McCloskey is President of Americas at Man Group and President of Man FRM. She is based in New York, and a member of Man Group’s Executive Committee. Prior to being named President of Man FRM, Michelle was Head of Manager Research at Man FRM and before that, Head of the Commodities and New Alternatives teams within hedge fund research. Prior to joining Man Group in 2006, Michelle was a portfolio manager for more than twenty years in the commodities sector. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Mr. Tim Barrett is Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Investment Officer for Texas Tech University System (TTUS). Mr. Barrett is responsible for day-to-day management of the Endowment Assets and responsible for Investment Strategy and Implementation of the nearly $1.2 Billion endowment and $800 Million in Operating Capital. Mr. Barrett began his relationship with TTUS in April of 2013. Prior to TTUS, Mr. Barrett served as Director of Pension Investments Worldwide at Eastman Kodak, overseeing more than $16 Billion in aggregate through approximately 77 plans globally. Mr. Barrett began his relationship with Kodak in November of 2010. Mr. Barrett began his career with San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA) where he worked his way up the organization to become the Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Barrett began his career in 1996 with SBCERA and left in October of 2010.

Mr. McCooe manages Connecticut Innovations’ venture capital funds, loans and programs to support entrepreneurs and startups. CI has over 175 portfolio companies and $300M in assets under management. Matt comes to CI from Chart Venture Partners (CVP), a NYC technology venture capital firm. At CVP, Matt led investments, sat on the boards of directors and played an operating role in turnarounds for several high growth technology companies. Prior to CVP, Matt was the Managing Director of Columbia University Science and Technology Ventures (STV), where he helped launch a portfolio of spinout companies, as well as the deployment of STV’s profitable seed fund.

Annie Lamont has more than 30 years of experience as a venture capitalist investing in transformative companies and entrepreneurs. In 2014, Annie, along with Patricia Kemp and Andrew Adams, launched Oak HC/FT, a venture capital fund investing in early to growth stage tech-enabled companies shaping the future of healthcare information and financial services. Prior to founding Oak HC/FT, Annie served as a Managing Partner at Oak Investment Partners. Formerly, Mr. Michaelcheck was Executive Vice President of Bear Stearns Companies and Senior Managing Director of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., where he Co-Headed the Fixed-Income Department and responsible for all proprietary trading activities and risk management. Mr. Morris is involved in top-down investment strategy, asset allocation and macroeconomic analysis for BAAM. Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Morris was Chief US Economist at HSBC in New York for ten years, managing the firm’s North American macroeconomic research team and providing advice and forecasts on macro trends and risks to clients, including financial institutions, non-financial corporations, central banks and sovereign wealth funds. Prior to that, Mr. Morris was a Global Economist with HSBC in London for three years and in Melbourne for two years. Prior to joining HSBC, Mr. Morris worked for PaineWebber in London.
